Cases of infection caused by Methycillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) are on the increase in the care sector. However, the dangers of this virulent superbug are not limited to hospitals.
MRSA infection can actually occur In any communal establishment and can have potentially disastrous consequences to health.
Infection outbreaks can be prevented and controlled with regular cleaning and disinfection using proven products. It is therefore vital for purchasers of cleaning products to ensure that the disinfectant used in their establishment has been successfully tested against MRSA.
CMD and Clover Chemicals Ltd offer a selection of disinfectants and sanitisers, all of which have been scientifically proven to kill MRSA. Designed for daily use to maintain clean and hygienic conditions, the Clover disinfectants offer users the following reassurance:

- 99.999% bacteria kill rate (passes BS EN 1276)

The only disinfectants that provide reliable control of MRSA are those that have been tested to BS EN 1276 (European standard for the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants) against a specified strain of MRSA.
Clover Chemicals disinfectants have been tested against
MRSA NCTC 12493. Testing was carried out and validated by an independent laboratory.
BS EN 1276 proves a bacteria kill rate of 99.999% with a 5 minute contact time. Any product with a lesser kill rate is not effective enough to ensure reliable infection control.
